It's Urkel's Fault

For years I've been trying to figure out this whole "bustin a sag" thing (aka by the man, "low slung pants"). To me it looks stupid, uncomfortable, and annoying as one has to constantly pull his pants up... but then today, as I was riding my bike, it finally hit me... it's Urkel's fault.
As I see it Bustin a Sag is a statement. It's a rejection of everything that Urkel stood for and was. It is defining oneself as not white, as not a geek, as not obsessive or annoying.
In the past, it's bothered me but this new understanding changes things... though there's still a definite need for black urban culture to embrace education, that can be done without the Urkelisation of black society...
And now they've got those really long T-shirts... wonder if that was initially a response to bustin a sag by some prude who wanted to bust a sag but didn't like his underwear showing...
