Had the second ultrasound yesterday (19 weeks). This was the one where we got to find out the sex of the baby.
It's an interesting process that you go through... First the nurse sprays goo on Jen's stomach and then fires up the machine and uses it to take a variety of measurements and look at the organs and stuff. So you're kinda flying around the baby like your viewing the 360 pics of a car online but in black and white and fuzzy. You catch glimpses of stuff here and there and try to figure out what it is you might be looking at...
Once the nurse finishes up with all the measurements and whatnot... she turns the monitor so the mom (i.e. Jen) can actually see and starts going for the money shots... full pic of the baby, baby sucking thumb, legs, ... and finally, whether or not you put the stem on the apple or not, you know pink or blue, ...
So as I'm sure you can clearly see from the pic to the left what we're having... yup, plain as day...
